J・G・A・ポーコック

J・G・A・ポーコック（John Greville Agard Pocock, 1924年3月7日 - ）は、イギリス出身の歴史家、政治学者。専門は、英米の共和主義思想、歴史叙述をめぐる政治思想史。

1924年ロンドンに生まれる。ニュージーランドに渡り、カンタベリー大学にて修士号を取得。ケンブリッジ大学に留学し、ハーバート・バターフィールドの下で研究を行い、1952年に博士号取得。オタゴ大学講師、カンタベリー大学上級講師、ワシントン大学教授を経て、1974年からジョンズ・ホプキンス大学歴史学部教授。現在は同大学名誉教授。
