デヴィッド・ハーヴェイ（David Harvey、1935年10月31日 - ）は、イギリスの地理学者である｡専門は人文地理学･社会理論・政治経済学。

略歴

イギリス・ケント州ジリンガム生まれ。ケンブリッジ大学より博士号取得。ブリストル大学講師、ジョンズ・ホプキンス大学准教授・教授、オックスフォード大学教授を経て、現在、ニューヨーク市立大学名誉教授。

『資本論』を中心とするマルクス主義を地理学に応用した批判的地理学の第一人者。彼の教育・研究・政治的関わりは、社会的不公平に対する深い関心を反映している。今日、地理学分野では、世界で最も多く論文が引用される学者である。

スウェーデンのレッツイウス金メダル、イギリス王立地理学会のパトロン・メダル[1]、ヴォートリン・ルド国際賞などの多くの受賞歴を誇る。アルゼンチンのブエノスアイレス大学とデンマークのロスキルド大学から名誉博士号を授与されている。1988年には大英学士院の会員に選ばれている。
